Health and wellbeing is being prioritised now more than ever with the 嫩草影院 developing its first ever public health plan.
Living Well in Greater Geraldton - Wellbeing Plan 2026-2031 aims to make it easier for the community to access greener spaces, inclusive programs, safer neighbourhoods and healthier environments.
To acknowledge the milestone, the City is taking part in the National Push-Up Challenge which helps increase awareness of mental health and all money raised will be donated to HeadSpace Geraldton.
嫩草影院 Mayor Jerry Clune encouraged the community to share their ideas for an active and healthy lifestyle.
“Public health is about preventing diseases, promoting healthy behaviours and addressing health disparities to prolong life. That is why we are committed to the development of our first public health plan, which will guide decision making to foster healthier outcomes,” he explained.
“And to make things more exciting, we’re also launching the engagement for the project by getting involved in the National Push-Up Challenge.
“Over the next few weeks, we will be pushing up to raise awareness about the importance of mental health as well as challenging local organisations, groups and figures to get involved.
“We’d like to throw out our first challenge to the Mid West Port Authority and our local member Kirrilee Warr MLA! The push-ups are in your court.”
The public is invited to provide feedback for the development of the City’s Living Well in Greater Geraldton - Wellbeing Plan 2026-2031 online .
Paper copies are available at the Civic Centre as well as the Mullewa District Office. The survey closes on Monday 25 August 2025 at 9am.
Everyone who provides feedback will go into a draw to win a fitness tracker, yoga mat/towel or a smart water bottle.

This project falls under the Community pillar of the City’s current Strategic Community Plan where community health and wellbeing are paramount.
